Pearls

2006 Paso Robles Aglianico

The Kathryn Kennedy Winery Pearls is a splendid representation of Aglianico hailing from the renowned Paso Robles region. This 2006 vintage showcases a deep ruby color that invites you in from the first glance. On the palate, it delights with a medium body that strikes a harmonious balance with its bright acidity, offering a refreshing lift. The fruit intensity is pronounced, with luscious notes of dark cherry and blackberry intertwined with hints of spice and earthiness. Tannins are notable yet velvety, adding structure to the wine without overwhelming its fruit-forward character. This red is categorized as dry, which beautifully complements its fruit profile, making it a versatile companion to a variety of cuisines and a pleasure to enjoy on its own.

Region:

Central Coast
Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
